What is Embodied Prayer?

Make your mind body a sacred space to connect with the divine.

Reflect & connect with community

Traditional prayer services follow a “Sage on the Stage,” format. A figure of religious or spiritual authority tells you what to believe and how to live.

Our authenticity is the price we pay for outsourcing our relationship with our Creator. We don’t learn how to tune in to the Wisdom within us, or receive the love that we truly are. By following external guidance, we miss out on the beauty, joy and adventure of God’s will for our life.

Embodied Prayer invites the divine wisdom and creativity within you. It is highly participatory, open and supportive to all. It integrates embodied practices like mindful breathing, somatic movement, chanting and meditation that make your body a temple for divine love.

By sharing our practice with people whose culture and beliefs may be different than ours, we come to recognize perfection in what is universal and unique.

“Nothing is more practical than finding God, than falling in love in a quite absolute way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything.

It will decide what gets you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love and it will decide everything.”
